Over 40 races inhabit Continents. 17 are available to players at character creation.
Human
The most versatile race. Normal attribute levels, equally good in all classes, and other races view them neutrally. Native language: Common.
Elf
Leaner than humans but equally strong, more magical and dexterous. Smaller frame aids dodging larger foes. Lower constitution, but faster mana recovery. Language: Elven.
Natural abilities: Infravision, Detect Hidden
Halfelf
Crossbreed of Human and Elf. All physical attributes of Elves with human bodily strength. Inherits some Elven animosity from other races. Language: Elven.

Drow (PK)
"Dark elves" — dark-skinned and predominantly evil. Higher wisdom. Animosity from most races. PK-registered automatically. Language: D'ro.

Dwarf
Hardy adventurers with a love of great food. Squat stature gives combat size bonuses but reduces dexterity. Better constitution than most civilised races. Language: Dwarven.

Halfdwarf
Crossbreed of Human and Dwarf. Dwarven physical attributes with human stature. May inherit Dwarven racial animosity. Language: Dwarven.

Hobbit
Small, agile, fun-loving creatures. Size advantages when fighting large foes, but also targeted by them. Language: Halfling.

Aarakocra
Intelligent man-like birds, roughly five feet tall with a twenty-foot wingspan. Hollow bones aid flight but are brittle. Raid farms for food. Language: Aarak.

Giant
Large, ego-driven humanoids relying on brute force. Dense bodies heal faster than most races. Not very bright or agile. Language: Gianten.

Ogre
Slightly less muscular than Giants, equally unsubtle. Dense bodies heal well. Language: Ogrel.
Halfogre
Diluted Ogre — strong and healthy, somewhat smarter and less clumsy than a full Ogre. Advantage in healing wounds. Language: Ogrel.
Minotaur
Half-human, half-bull. Very strong and dexterous, seclusive and protective. Slightly below average intelligence. Language: Moovian.

Faerie
Tiny forest creatures. Prefer flying; regenerate movement faster than expected. Language: Faerish.

Gnome
Small, peace-loving, similar to a Dwarf/Hobbit mix. No strong racial animosities. Higher-than-average wisdom and fast mana recovery. Language: Gnomish.

Halfkobold
Mongrel dog-like kobolds, size of a Gnome. Exceptional agility, but weak constitution and low intelligence. Language: Underdark.

Vampire (PK)
Sensitive to sunlight and water. Undead, so immune to poison. Faster HP regen. PK-registered automatically. Not available on first life. Language: Korgeil.
